Q: What are the three main positions on the field?
A: DEFENSE: First line of players in front of the Goal Keeper. MIDFIELDERS: Second line. FORWARDS: Third line. Our standard set up is a 4-4-2.
Q:When the ref calls a foul why don't we just kick the ball in the goal?
A: This depends on the type of foul:
"DIRECT FOUL" A severe foul or intentional. Tripping, hand ball,
pushing. This type of foul the ball can be shot directly
into the goal.
"INDIRECT FOUL" A incidental or accidental foul. Offside, slip and trip, hands
in the back. This type fo foul the ball must touch at least one
other player other than the passer before it can be shot in the goal
Q:How do you tell which type of foul it is?
A: "DIRECT FOUL" The referees hand will be to his side.
"INDIRECT FOUL" The referees arm will be straight up
hand pointing to the sky
SUMMARY
Last but not least, to play the ball YOU DO NOT HAVE
TO WAIT FOR A WHISTLE!!!! The only requirements are the
ball is on the spot of the foul and stopped before proceeding.
The whistle is only a requirement if the Offensive side ot the ball
ask for ten yards, which is the minimum a Defensive player can
be to the spot of the foul if asked for.
